Brief info about USATU:

USATU is one of the leading technical universities in its region (the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia). USATU is a large academic, scientific and innovation complex with strong scientific schools that trains qualified personnel at all levels: bachelors, certified specialists, masters, candidates and doctors of sciences. The training is effected in 38 fields of study for bachelors, in 9 fields for certified specialists, in 34 fields for masters. The university’s staff includes 980 lecturers, among them 180 Doctors of Sciences and over 600 Candidates of Sciences.

USATU has the leading positions in different areas of science and focuses on the development of advanced technologies of the future. USATU is engaged in creating new technologies in mechanical and instrument engineering, in developing microsatellites, intelligent robotic systems, high-speed electric machines, in conducting research in the area of new materials, green chemistry, physics of nanomaterials, information technologies, etc. 


Institute of Physics of Advanced Materials (IPAM), Ufa State Aviation Technical University

Brief info about IPAM:

The Institute of Physics of Advanced Materials (IPAM) is a research institute at Ufa State Aviation Technical University (Ufa, Russia). The institute specializes in the nanostructuring of metals through SPD processing, the physics of strength and ductility of nanostructured materials, the development of the physical fundamentals of their mechanical behavior.

The institute’s main research areas include:

– fundamental studies aimed at obtaining new knowledge on the structure and properties of nanostructured structural and functional materials;

– development of severe plastic deformation (SPD) processing techniques for fabrication of bulk ultrafine-grained (UFG) and nanostructured materials;

– development and introduction of technologies for production of semi-products and products from nanostructured commercial metals and alloys, as well as intermetallics;

– development of recommendations on the practical use of the obtained research results and participation in their commercialization;

– training of highly-qualified scientific, engineering and technical personnel.



NanoMeT Ltd.

Brief info about NanoMeT Ltd.:

NanoMeT Ltd. is a spin-off company of Ufa State Aviation Technical University. The company’s main activity is the pilot-commercial production of semi-products (rods) from nanostructured titanium for medical applications. Currently, the nanostructured titanium produced by NanoMeT is used in the dental implants manufactured by Timplant s.r.o. (Czech Republic) under the trademark Nanoimplant® and by Basic Dental Implants (USA).

In addition to production, NanoMeT Ltd. is also actively engaged in research. The company successfully performed a number of research and innovation projects funded by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (Moscow, Russia), the International Science and Technology Center (Moscow, Russia), under the Federal Target Program «Research and development in priority areas of the Russian scientific and technological complex for 20172013».

Scientific and Production Association “Technopark of Aviation Technologies” (“Technopark AT”)

Brief info about “Technopark AT”:

Technopark AT” is engaged in the support and promotion of innovation projects, from a scientific idea to batch production.

The main objective of “Technopark AT” is to create and develop a system providing an efficient process of mastering and introducing innovative technologies and designs in batch production in aircraft-engine building and general mechanical engineering.

Currently, the main areas of activity of “Technopark AT” are:

  • production engineering;

  • education and research;

  • support of the Technopark’s residents.

The policy of the Technopark is aimed at building a constructive cooperation with the leading Russian universities, associations, industrial clusters, children’s centers.
